Customer Care Charter - 'We're on Board'
Failte Ireland with the support of the the Irish Hotel Federation (IHF), Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) and the Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI) have put together a customer care charter for the accommodation and food & beverage providers in Galway. The charter is designed to demonstrate that the premises is 'on board' to welcome visitors to Galway and Ireland and to ensure a comfortable, safe, informative and memorable experience that represents good value for money.

In providing this service the aims are to provide the following: adherence to published rates, terms and conditions; front line staff with knowledge and information on what to do and where to go in Galway and West of Ireland; staff trained in Failte Ireland customer care programmes; staff trained in health and safety; nominated in-house 'problem-solver'; services and facilities are available and in good working order; accommodati on, food, beverages and other services are of the best quality and represent value for money; prices for food and beverages displayed prominently; wide range of food & beverages on offer including local produce and flexible meal times.

'We're on Board' stickers are displayed in premises that have signed up to the charter and are promoted on the Volvo Ocean Race web site.
